Pet Wellness Exams in Lyman, ME
Preventative Pet Care for
a Lifetime of Health
Wellness visits are one of the most important parts of your pet’s long-term health plan. These appointments give our veterinary team the opportunity to examine your pet from nose to tail, catch early signs of illness, and guide you through every life stage—from first vaccines to senior care.
Each exam is tailored to your pet’s age, lifestyle, breed, and risk factors. We’ll take the time to answer your questions, review your pet’s medical history, and offer personalized recommendations to support their overall well-being.
Routine wellness care helps you stay ahead of potential health problems before they become emergencies—and keeps your pet feeling their best year-round.

Pet Vaccinations and Parasite Prevention
Vaccinations are a critical part of preventative care. We follow AAHA and AVMA guidelines to develop individualized vaccine plans based on your pet’s risk and environment. Common vaccines include:
- Rabies
- DHPP (for dogs)
- FVRCP (for cats)
- Leptospirosis
- Bordetella
- Lyme
- FeLV (for cats, as needed)
In addition to vaccines, we provide year-round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention options. We’ll help you choose safe, effective products based on your pet’s lifestyle and health status—and explain how and when to use them for the best protection.
When to Schedule a Wellness Exam
- Adults (1–6 years): Annually
- Seniors (7+ years): Every 6–12 months, with wellness bloodwork recommended
- Puppies/Kittens: 8 weeks of age or when they first arrive in your home
Whether it’s your pet’s first visit or their tenth, we take the time to provide clear, supportive care that meets your needs and builds trust over time.
